Reflection

Education of the youngsters

Hundreds of thousands of students are entering into the portals of educational institutions in India in the month of June. Lakhs of students have passed 10th grade examination and a similar number has come out in flying colours in 12th grade examination also. This is the time when they branch out into special fields of their choice.

Education is the process of unraveling the mystery behind the Universe. Proper orientation at this stage will make a huge difference in the mental makeup of the youngsters. A lion’s share of these students choose Science and related subjects. Science without a human face will be really detrimental in deciding the future of coming generations. Mere scientific knowledge will only be good in creating a handful of technocrats. Only when combined with spiritual insights Science can become really benefitial to humanity.

A host of scientific discoveries have turned out to be very fatal to humanity and the environment throughout the ages. This is because those scientists forgot the faces of millions of poor suffering people around the world and the Earth that protects them. What we need today is hundreds of thousands of enlightened humanitarian scientists who can free the world from nuclear and such other disasters and lead the world to a bright and prosperous tomorrow.
