What is Life?
“Thou hast made me endless, such is Thy pleasure…” Tagore starts Gitanjali like this. It suggests that we have an endless journey through the inner recesses of the universe. Where does this exploration begin? When does it come to a standstill? No one has given a final answer, but have given us umpteen pointers. It still remains a mystery. After all only five percent of the universal secrets have been revealed so far. So it will take millions of years to solve this riddle forever.
One thing is sure. Life is an adventure, whether in this world or the other world to come. What about previous lives then? Mahavira is the only one who has predicted all his twenty six previous lives. (One chapter in my novel “Super Souls Revisited” is about Mahavira and the title is “Twenty Six Lives and After.) As Buddha said, we have to face the terrible and face it boldly. Most easy thing is to die. The most difficult affair is to live. But we can make every moment rewarding, if we live for some higher purpose. The quality of the soul will determine the quality of life.
