ONE DAY IS ENOUGH
Just one day is enough
Can’t you spare that for me?
With endless time in thy hands!
Though I never seem worthy of it?
When you looked for me I was away,
When you craved for me I did’t care;
When you cried for me I was cruel
And now I know I deserve this.
How long wilt thou forget me
And leave me as a bark amidst
The roaring waves and hiding sharks
To break myself and sink like that?
“Fear not for I am with you”-
I hear the notes from Galilee;
But Peter was petra like,
I m fragile as a feeble reed.
Just one day is enough.
A glance, a touch,
I shall be satisfied
And grateful for ever indeed.
