HAD I KNOWN IT BEFORE

Had I known it before
That bliss was it to be in You!
Had I known it before
That life was it to be with you!

    The tracks of my race would not have been the same,
    Mission of my life would not have been the same.

Meaninglessness of my course,
Barrenness of my being,
Endlessness of my desires, 
Sickness of my parts,
Emptiness of my intellect,
Hollowness of my pursuits,
Would not have been the same
Had I known it before.

    You and I would not have been the same,
     Had I known it before.
