LOVE POEM No. 43 - TILL WE IMMERGE

TILL WE IMMERGE

When you curse the sluggish clock
And cry for help in lonely hours,
Look towards the smiling sun
On command to wipe your tears?

Heavy in heart when you reel
Under the yoke of ages past,
And cry for help in lonely hours
Feel for flowers that I send

Sighing all through night in fear
Treading the room like a cat in cage
And cry for help in lonely hours,
Hear the cuckoo my messenger.

Don’t you know we meet to part
And part to meet again in joy?
            Unchallenged this cyclic norm,
Our love grows dearer in separation.

Lucky that I read you well,
Chast and truthful to the core;
Will my soul ever rest in peace
Till we immerge as one for sure?
