DEAR PROMISE
Do you remember that dear promise made
To take me over to the glorious land?
Why remand to reach the shore
And swim across the channel quick?
Let
us break all bondages there
Of
all the chains that keep us slaves
And
revel like larks in open skies
Conquering regions yet unknown.
Let us spin the thread of life
In a fashion unheard of
To show the world that it’s not worth
Not to live a life like this.
You
and I wild in dreams
And
passions parallel as we know,
Why waste all the gifts bestowed
And hop as fowls devoid of
wings?
