DO NOT COMPARE
Do not ever dare compare
Me with my contemporaries,
Blessed they might all appear
With innumerable precious gems.
A lonely bird, dumb in cage
With dropping feathers all about,
Fragile I fail to fly away
Though the spirit is willing.
With the little gift in store
And all my doors open wide,
If I wait all along
Will
you not recompense?
